I've had several thought experiments during my life and have had moments of self doubt, lust, pornographic/sexual addiction and frustration (especially in my teens and young adult hood). This song is about those moments of weakness, though not exactly about me the first verse is telling the story of a good young man.
He sleeps with his best girlfriend and afterwards develop a more dating relationship, but they know they are not ready to continue their sexual interactions, but he still wants to sleep with her and his lust drives him mad....
The second verse is about a man who is happy with the woman he loves, but feels more and more attracted to a woman he just met who is also in a relationship herself... he grows closer to her at first as a friend and wishes to ignore the comments of others... till one day he reaches a point of no return... this breaks his soul and makes him doubt everything he knows... because he knows what he is doing is wrong, but his sexual desires overrides all all his self control and make him do something that cannot be undone.

but refrain from my gruesome addiction as I read God's benediction.

but my sweet tooth is engulfed in lust.
I indulge and trust, the heart of harlot who is fine,

and I rewind and think about my girlfriend for a time,
but rest my soul on another man's Dime.
Then relapse and go back, handicapped and wrapped
that attack, from back of the enclosed and capped brain,

it's too much to refine... this is my crime...
